Castor Oil + Cayenne Pepper = Growth!

I made my little mixture of Castor oil and Cayenne pepper on Thursday night. I usually make the mix and start applying it to my scalp at 7 weeks post. But I got lazy and started using it at 8 weeks post, so I'm 1 week late. I relax my hair at 12 weeks post, and I love to apply this mix to my scalp at 7-8 weeks because it gives me a crazy amount of new growth in a short amount of time. If I applied it sooner than 7 weeks, I don't know how I would make it to 12 weeks post with all the tangles I would have. But anyways, I always apply it when I wear my half wig. My hair is braided in cornrows underneath my wig, which makes it easy for me to apply the mix. The wig also adds to my growth retention because it's a great protective style. I apply the mix to my scalp every other day until I relax at 12 weeks post. If you're interested in seeing how I made the mix and applied it to my scalp, you can watch my video on Youtube by clicking here! By the way, Cayenne pepper is a natural hair growth stimulant. I will inform my readers on this pepper soon :)

Hello, I tried the cayenne pepper and olive oil tonight in my hair, does it make a difference which oil I use castor/olive?

Thanks for sharing the knowledge.

No it doesn't make a difference at all. I like to use Castor oil because it stimulates growth :)

Cayenne pepper is great. I also sometimes take it internally to increase circulation all over the body.

Thats great! I never thought of ingesting it though. I wonder what you mix it with when you take it internally.

Hi,
I was just wondering if you put any natural preservatives in this cayenne pepper mix? The reason I ask is because I was doing some research on the internet and came across some information saying that oils can go bad when they are mixed with other compounds, so to avoid this either only make enough each time for one use right before using, or just add a few drops of Tea Tree oil, Vit E, or grapeFRUIT seed extract. Have you ever heard this Lady Taurus? Oh, and I love this blog. I bookmarked it. Could you follow mine as well???

@Hair Care Diaries...No i dont put any preservatives in my mixture. I only make enough to last me for about 2 weeks. If you leave it for longer than that, then yes it will spoil. The trick is to make it to last you for a short period of time. I think next time, i will add some tea tree oil to it. I need to do some more research about this. But thanks for letting me know.

how many times do you add this mixture per week?

LadyTaurus said...

I only did it once a week on freshly washed hair. You van do it more times if you want.

thank you oh okay does it have to freshly washed hair in order for it work?

When your hair is freshly washed, that means your pores are not clogged, which allows the concoction to penetrate and work better.
