After watching what seems to be hundreds of Youtube make-up videos, almost all the Guru's I'm subscribed to on Youtube have had tutorials with the Coastal Scents 88 palette. I'm a newbie to make-up this year. I kept my focus on hair 100% in the past and never even gave make-up a chance. Now that my hair is getting better and is on the right track, I want to move on to the next big thing, and for me that's make-up! I want to perfect my make-up skills, but I needed something very affordable to help me practice my skills. After years and months of saying that I'm gonna order the Coastal Scents palette, (I'm a BIG procrastinator), I finally made a decision to get it. I ordered it from Amazon (it's cheaper than ordering on the Coastal Scents site). And Amazon is really good at delivering things in a quick and timely manner. I ordered on Tuesday, and got it on Friday. I found the box sitting in front of my door after school, (I hate UPS for just dropping things in front of your door! They could at least make you sign something to make sure you get it! Ugh!). Anyways, the palette came to my house safe and sound. No broken shadows, nice and neatly wrapped in bubble wrap. I got the original matte palette to practice with different colors and see what fits me. It cost $18.00, but with shipping and tax I paid only $23.93. My birthday is coming up in 2 weeks so I hope i can come up with a nice look to wear when I go out. I was expecting the case to be much bigger, but it's kind of small which is good because it'll be easy to store in my small room. And the shadow size really is dime sized. But there are so much colors in there, you'll probably never be finished! I tried to do a look last night, but got overwhelmed with all the colors. The colors are super pigmented, but seem like they'll come out better with a base underneath. I am in no way a Make-up Expert, but I do believe the colors can be compared to MAC. If you're new to make-up and want to experiment with eye shadows, then Coastal Scents is the #1 palette to try out. It's very affordable with super pigmented colors!

Product Review: Silk Elements Megasilk Moisture Treatment
- Deep conditioning properties reduce tangles
- Gives an intense shine and manageability without product buildup
- Great for detangling and ease of combing
- Adds an intense shine
Ingredients:
Water ,Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Cetyl Esters, Stearalkonium Chloride, Amodimethicone, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed oil, Sodium PCA, Fragrance, Hydrolyzed Silk, Cetrimonium Chloride, Tridecth-12, Methylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Yellow 5, Hexyl Cinnamal
What I think:
This is an amazing product! It does exactly as it says. After my first use, my hair immediately felt as soft as butter! My hair also had amazing slip and shine. Roller setting was a breeze. And it smells like mango's and other combinations of fruits...yum! Over the summer, I was in desperate need of a moisturizing DC, and was considering buying this product, only to found out that it was sold out at my local Sallys. So I had no choice but to splurge on Keracare Humecto for $12 bucks. Months later after finishing the Keracare, I did a little shopping at Sallys, and to my suprise, the SE Moisture Treatment was right there on the shelf! After using this product, I also found that I don't really need to apply a heat protectant if i choose to flat iron. It leaves my hair incredibly conditioned, which means the heat wont damage my hair as easily. I love it! Move over Keracare Humecto, there's a new Sheriff in town. This is my new moisturizing deep conditioner.

Product Review: Mane 'N Tail Detangler
- The solution for hard-to-comb hair
- Provides a rich, luxurious shine
- Hair becomes easily manageable
- Restores lost moisture
- Reduces split ends
Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Dimethicone, PEG 7 Amodimethicone, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail Leaf Extract), Larrea Divaricata (Chaparral Extract), Tussilago Farfara (Colts Foot Flower Extract), Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut Seed Extract), Spiraea Ulmaria (Meadowsweet Flower Extract), Trifolium Pratense (Clover Flower Extract), Fragrance (Parfum), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Trideceth-6, Hydroxycitronella, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone.
What I think:
This product does exactly as it promises! I went to the Beauty Supply store in search of the Surge 14 plus detangler, but they no longer make it. I asked the lady that works at the store if they sell any good detanglers, and she directed me to the Mane 'N Tail Detangler. The first time I remember using this was back in November, the night before I relaxed. Normally, the night before i get a relaxer, I like to detangle my hair to reduce breakage, shedding, and also make it easier for the stylist. 12 weeks worth of type 4b/c new growth for a stylist to deal with is no joke! I sprayed this directly on my new growth, rubbed it in a bit, and took my wide tooth comb to glide through. The comb literally glided through my new growth like butter! My tangles basically melted away! I will definitely purchase again once i run out. I only use it the night before I relax, which means a 12 oz bottle will last me a year or so! I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Price: 12 oz is $4.99

Lekair Cholesterol....love it!
I love Lekair cholesterol! After I'm done using it, my hair feels so much thicker and has a lot of body when i air dry or roller set. I have been using it since the start of journey (almost 3 years ago) and it has never let me down. I used to apply it straight, without any oils mixed to it, until recently. I started using coconut oil last month and fell in love with it so much that i started using it more frequentely in my regimen. I decided to mix it in with my Lekair. When i finished applying the Lekair/Coconut oil mixture to my hair and rinsed it out, my hair was so much softer than before, when i did not apply any oils to it. Lekair is a light protein conditioner, which is why my hair would feel a little hard and dry after rinsing it out, but by applying the coconut oil (which is the moisture), my hair felt balanced in protein and moisture, which is a plus! Lekair has a way of seeping into my hair strands, and fattening them up, which is probably the cholesterol doing it's magic. I deep condition with Lekair every single time i wash my hair, which is once a week. I part my hair into 6 sections, and i apply the cream from root to tip with a applicator brush. I deep condition under a heating cap for 1 hour, then rinse and proceed with my leave-in and moisturizer. It retails for only $2.99, which is good now a days, especially with this economy.
I love this stuff!

I Love NTM Silk Touch Leave-In Creme!

I went to CVS 2 weeks ago and picked up a bottle of Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch leave-in creme. I only bought this because I've been hearing so much good reviews on it, that i just had to try it out. I got it for $7.99 at CVS which is not really bad. I was a little confused on how to use it because it says "Leave-In" creme. Whenever a product says "Leave-In", i automatically think that its something i have to use on the day i wash my hair ONLY, so i got a little bit confused. I did some research and came to find out that it's just a name...i don't HAVE to use it as a leave-in. Many women use it as a moisturizer because its lightweight and also because it contains water and glycerin. I thought i would test it out to see if my hair agreed with it or not. My regular moisturizers consist of S-curl and Elasta QP Mango butter, but i pushed them to the side for 2 weeks to test out the NTM. It's really light, and a little runny, but smells gooodd!! I used it the same night i bought it. My hair was freshly relaxed, so i thought i would use it then. I applied a nickel size amount to my hand and worked it through my whole head, then wrapped it up. The next morning, my hair felt really soft and bouncy and had a great shine to it! I liked what i saw, so i kept on using it. I moisturize with it twice a day (morning & night) and seal with coconut oil. Today makes it 2 weeks since I've been using it and my hair is really silky and flowy =] I even tried to test the elasticity of my hair to see how well it worked. I got a strand of my hair from my comb and tried to break it by pulling it apart and it took a while to break..which means my hair has elasticity! When your hair has elasticity, it is less prone to breakage. Try this creme for yourself ladies! I use it on dry hair, even though the directions on the label say to use it on wet hair, it doesn't really matter. See if your hair likes it!
My hair 2 weeks after using NTM silk touch leave-in creme ;).
